First Colony Municipal Utility District No. 9 (The District) will temporarily change the disinfectant used in its water distribution system from Free Chlorine to Chloramines beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, through Monday, October 19, 2026. The temporary conversion is the result of the District’s need to perform maintenance at the water plant. During this time, the District will cease the production of water from the present water well supply and will be receiving surface water from a water transmission line containing treated surface water supplied by the City of Sugar Land.
