Dear Fort Bend Municipal Utility District No. 2 Customer,
The North Fort Bend Water Authority (NFBWA) has implemented Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan. As a customer of the NFBWA, Fort Bend Municipal Utility District No. 2 is also implementing Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) immediately.
Voluntary Water Use Restrictions Applicable to Customers. Customers are requested to voluntarily limit all outdoor water use, including but no limited to, lawn and garden watering, car washing, and window washing as follows:
- Customers with even numbered addresses: even numbered days (ex: August 26th, August 28th, etc.)
- Customers with odd numbered addresses: odd numbered days (ex: August 27th, August 29th, etc.)
- Water use should be limited to the following times:
- 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- 6:00 pm – 2:00 am
Additionally, customers are requested to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue non-essential water uses such as vehicle washing, power washing, gutter flushing, and refilling swimming pools, hot tubs, or aesthetic fountains (except those that support aquatic life). Customers are also encouraged to take action to repair any known water leaks.
